Serve at Henry Christian Church
Bethanee Buckler & Buddy Berry
All school age children at HCC are invited to Sunday school, which occurs the same time as the weekly sermon for the congregation. Two classes meet, one for children 4 years old (potty trained) through 5th grade, and another for 6th grade and up. Both are led in age appropriate Bible lessons, while the younger group, called Kingdom Kids, also work on crafts and have snacks. Both classes are released from the sanctuary after the conclusion of offering.
Please be sure to check your child in for children’s church in the Living Room (entry lobby) prior to the service.
For our youngest worshippers, ages 0 to 3 years old, HCC has childcare available in our Nursery. If you are interested in serving in the nursery, please contact Kelly Prenn.
If you are a parent with a nusery-age child, please check your child in for the nursery in the Living Room (entry lobby) prior to the service.
* Note: All Youth volunteers are subject to a background check.
Buddy Berry & Bethanee Buckler
HCC also has a traditional youth group called The Furnace which meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Youth are divided into two groups: Kindergarten thru 5th grade and are led by Bethanee. Grades 6th-12th are led by Buddy.
Each night kicks off with a fellowship meal, followed by games, and a message. Youth group is a great opportunity for fellowship, fun, and spiritual growth.
Each Sunday morning and alternating Youth Group services are led in worship by HCC’s contemporary band. The group blends a plethora of styles, from classic hymns to current CCM radio hits, and they are always looking for passionate musicians and worshippers to lend their talents.
Compassion is a dish best served from HCC’s thriving Kitchen Ministry! Whether the occasion is mourning after a funeral, or celebrating after a wedding, HCC pools its talents to serve meals to our congregation and community throughout the year.
